Thank you to all who participated in the Gingrich Library’s 5th Annual Banned Books Read Out! The event was held yesterday to bring awareness of the dangers of censorship!
Students staff and faculty were invited to read excerpts from their favorite banned or challenged books. Some of the books read at the event were:

The Color Purple
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian
Captain Underpants
Our Banned Books Read Out is held in conjunction with Banned Books Week sponsored by the American Library Association. Banned Books Week is held every year and has been since 1982. For more information about banned books please see :
